Preventive Maintenance

Access Control Systems offers an annual service/maintenance agreement plan.  A properly maintained gate will function far better, will last longer, and is less likely to break down when most needed.

What we do: We make two service trips per year. During these trips we do the following:

  • Grease / lube all moving parts & test sensor loops and all safety mechanisms (Omron photo sensors, Miller Edge crush devices).
  • Tighten the belts and chains and replace worn belts (see note below on parts).
  • Adjust the gate for proper tolerances and safety requirements.
  • Check the circuit boards for damage or corrosion.
  • Clean and spray for bugs and rodents.
  • Cycle the gate 5 times.
  • Leave proof of service.

Outside of the two service calls, if there is ever a problem, we service your gate without a charge for labor.

We respond to service needs as a priority service within 48 hours of your call, (not including weekends). We can usually do same day or next day service.

Result: Less breakdowns and hassles at the wrong time. No service charge for labor.

Note: Not included in this agreement are charges for parts, replacement of faulty wiring, or replacement of in- ground magnetic loops. Worn out gate operators or phone systems that need replacement will be assessed and an estimate will be given for replacement. We will make a maximum of three service calls for a problem that we deem is due to poor or faulty equipment. At this time, if not sooner, new equipment will be required.
